A Night in Hot'Lanta

Shandi had a great idea for Jennifer’s bachelorette party. Instead of confining themselves to one club, they decided to rent a limo, ride around the city, and explore some of the finer highlights of Atlanta. While they were out, Jennifer’s bridal party would give her their gifts, each one designed to be used on the honeymoon.

 

It was a perfect plan for a girls' night out, and Jennifer knew nothing about it.

 

The night started at Jennifer’s house, where the friends met. They blindfolded Jennifer and led her to the limo. The chauffeur, Richard, opened the door, and they helped Jennifer get settled. Then the blindfold came off. She squealed at the sight of the limo. Shandi had chosen one with completely blacked out windows, so the destination would be a complete surprise until they opened the door.

 

As they drove, the first present came out, along with a bottle of wine. As the girls drank and relaxed, Jennifer opened the gift. It was a coconut bra and grass skirt. She howled with laughter as Sarah told her it would be the perfect outfit for their Hawaiian honeymoon.

 

When the limo stopped, the girls got out at the Leopard Lounge. They chose this as their first stop because Saturday was ladies’ night, with $3 cocktails and no cover until midnight, and they knew they would be gone by then. They had a few drinks and gave Jennifer her getup for the night – a “bride to be” t-shirt and Playboy bunny ears with a veil. Each bridesmaid then pulled off their t-shirts to show that they had a pink “bridesmaids” t-shirt underneath.

 

After a few drinks and a bite to eat, they jumped back in the limo. The next present was opened, which was a game for the couple to play while exploring Hawaii. The girls giggled as they read some of the cards. They were relaxing, and the sunroof was beckoning. They asked Richard to open it, and they took turns standing up and watching the city go by.

 

The next stop was the Opera Atlanta Nightclub, where the girls danced for hours to pulse-pounding music and an amazing light show. Shandi had pulled some strings to get their name on the guest list. When they were finally done partying, Richard and the limo were waiting to take them for their final stop. On the way Jennifer opened a delightful assortment of negligees and lingerie items.

 

The final stop was Café Intermezzo for a late-night dessert, home of the world’s largest espresso machine. After the drinks and dancing they had enjoyed, a shot of caffeine was just what the girls needed. As they scoured the menu of over 100 decadent deserts, each girl chose her favorite, and then they all sampled each other’s dishes as they ate.

 

The ride home was not a quiet one, as the girls watched Atlanta go by and celebrated Jen’s last few nights of singleness. Richard provided a witty banter to accompany the girl’s antics, and as they all crashed at Jen’s apartment, Shandi congratulated herself on planning the perfect girls' night out .
