Olympus Now 100% Carbon Free
As part of an ongoing commitment to the environment, Olympus has recently introduced a variety of strategies that have helped reduce and neutralize their emissions to the point where they can now proudly say they are 100% carbon free.
Here are just a few of the environmentally responsible actions that were implemented at Olympus:
- Added flex-fuel SUVs to their fleet that run on both gasoline and E85 (a blend of 85% ethanol and 15% gasoline).
- Converted all paper documents, including confirmations, receipts, and invoices to digital formats. To date, they have reduced their use of paper by more than 50%.
- Equipped all Olympus facility light fixtures with Energy Star certified fluorescent light bulbs that are 75% more energy efficient than regular bulbs.
- Instituted a buy “green” preferred supplier partnership.
- Printed promotional materials on recycled papers and newsletters and other new business mailings have been converted to digital formats and emails.
